Southern Oregon softball Mitchell Lofstedt broke his late father Brent Lofstedt’s single season pin record and helped the Raiders score a 43-3 victory over 10th-ranked Simon Fraser today at McNeal Pavilion.

The Raiders finish the regular season 15-7 and will wrestle at the NAIA West Qualifier on Feb. 20.

Lofstedt, ranked No. 1 at 125 pounds, broke the record with a 1:26 pin of Thomas Ostapowich and gave the Raiders an early 6-0 lead. Lofstedt is now 35-6 on the season with 21 pins.

Senior Barry Johnson scored a pin 141 to push the lead to 16-0 and the rout was on.

Tommie Hooper scored a 10-0 major decision victory at 165 and the Raiders scored forfeit victories at 197 and 285.

Brian Jacob (133), Justin Mills (149) and Tomas Rosa (157) also scored victories for the Raiders.
