Kayla Young

Kayla Jill Young is a senior photojournalism major at Southern Oregon University. She grew up in southern California with her parents and four younger brothers. She is 24 and transferred to SOU as a junior after attending Westmont College. Her goal is to travel to every country and has enjoyed time in China, India, Jamaica, and South Africa so far. Kayla works as a photographer at University of California at Santa Barbara in the summers and during the school year is the sport’s photographer for SOU. As the photo editor for The Siskiyou this year, she hopes to give readers photographs that keep them coming back for more, offer variety, creativity, and communicate well.
