Mitchell Lofstedt
With the SOU wrestling team having just wrapped up their record 40th winning season, it comes as no surprise that sophomore Mitchell Lofstedt has played an integral part in that achievement.
Ranked No. 1 in the 125 pound weight class, Lofstedt is currently an English major looking to pursue a career as a musician.
Coming from a wrestling oriented family with his late father Brent and brother Trevor both having hit the floor for SOU, Lofstedt has lived up to his high ranking by capturing a record breaking 21 pins this season and has a season record of 35-6.
Lofstedt’s previous athletic endeavors include wrestling for Roseburg High School while also competing in Cross Country.
While at Roseburg High School, Lofstedt grabbed three state champion titles and was also selected as an All-American on three occasions.
Lofstedt has quickly transfered his success from high school to Southern Oregon and will be looking to add to his list of impressive achievements when the Raiders compete in the NAIA Western Qualifiers in two weeks time.
