Movie Review

“Shutter Island” is one of those movies that has way too much fun playing with your head, and does it with a level of technical expertise and precision that you allow it to do just that. Martin Scorsese generally does not make the movies that a more experimental director, like David Lynch (“Mulholland Drive”) or David Fincher (“Fight Club”) might, but here he shows he has an uncanny ability to suck his audience into the film and be entertained by its mysterious and deceptive qualities for its entire length, and possibly by the end be asking for more. SOU Gets in Step

Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Brittany Dixon learned her first simple steps at a very young age. Dixon is a 21-year-old ethnic studies student at SOU, and current director of communications for the Black Student Union on campus. “Your older peers will teach you simple steps when you’re really young, either at school, on the playground, or just in your free time,” she said.

No Trays Equals Less Waste

The results are in from the Trayless initiative at Cascade Dining and frankly, the results reveal a disconcerting culture among campus diners. The trial run going trayless at Cascade Dining began with breakfast on February 8 and was completed with dinner on February 11.
